Everyday Napkin Rings

The only piece or artistry you will need to get the best look from your napkin rings is in the rolling of the napkin. What you want to avoid is showing lots of flaps of material from the napkins, and this is achieved by following the simple rules:

Fold your napkin in four - two folds.

Make sure that the edges are as close together as they can be - in other words that the folds are very central.

Start rolling from the side that has several pieces of material showing, so that these flaps end up in the centre of the roll.

The far side is where the fold is and this ends up being the side that shows at the end of the roll, and looks much neater.

Slide the rolled napkin into its ring.

Finally, place the napkin diagonally across the dinner plate or at the side of the setting.
