Paper wedding confetti for celebrating the special day. All our confetti is biodegradeable.
The tradition of throwing confetti at a wedding dates back before Christianity. It was originally a pagan ritual where rice or grain was thrown over the couple as a symbol of the hope that the union would be fertile or fruitful - the rice or grain being the fruit in this case.
Throwing wedding confetti is one of the most common rituals that we find at weddings, and very few pass without it's use. It is important that the use of confetti is authorised before the event with the owners of the places where your guests are likely to want to make use of it. If that is outside, then it really is vital that the confetti is biodegradeable, as it is quite unnacceptable these days to leave a mess that will not disappear naturally.
If it is inside, then the owners may be happier if it is not biodegradeable as they will find it easier to clear up after the event, but again, it is really important that you clear it with them as to which type of confetti your guests may use and where. In some cases the bride and groom actually provide a supply of confetti for the guests to ensure that there is no problem in this department.
