Although these old traditions are not followed religiously today it is still very commonplace for people to give a gift of something made from silver on the 25th anniversary, and from gold on the 50th anniversary etc. The really big anniversaries are still very often marked in the traditional way.

 

Of course, the first and most important thing to do on any anniversary is to remember it!!

 

Then, the right gift is an essential. Only you know your partner's taste and so a guide to gifts is a very difficult thing to provide, but for those that are struggling flowers, chocolates, a night out to a good restaurant, or tickets to a show usually hit the mark very well, unless you're celebrating one of the big ones and then you need something very special, and most people do still like to observe the tradition and give something made from the correct material.

Standard delivery is by Royal Mail 1st class post and express delivery is by Interlink Express or Royal Mail Special delivery.

 

Standard carriage charges are determined by weight and range from £2.95 to £4.95. For express delivery an extra £2.45 is added. Slightly higher charges apply for heavy express orders only to the islands and Northern Ireland
