 Traditional Sugared Almonds and the ever popular Sugar Coated Chocolate Dragees

Wedding Favours provide a wonderful opportunity to say thank you to your guests for helping you to celebrate your special day as well as providing adornment and decoration to your wedding breakfast tables. They are always welcomed and just as it's often lovely to have a sweet after dinner, your favours can provide the perfect after dinner refreshment to your guests.

Wedding favour confectionery comes in loads of different guises, but the traditional confectionery is sugared almonds, and it is usually five sugared almonds that are given. This originates from the Italian tradition of giving sweets to all the guests at a wedding. The five sweets that are traditionalyy given to each guest represent health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life. As an alternative to sugared almonds, sugar coated chocolate dragees are becoming increasingly popular and once again it is usually five that is given. We sell both almonds and chocolates in 1kg boxes and as a rough guide there are usually about 250 in each 1kg box, so if you decide to stick with tradition, this is sufficient for about 50 guests. Although we don't stock foil covered chocolates at present we can get them for you on request, and it won't take very long for us to get them to you - usually no more than about a week

There are so many wedding favours that can be given to guests from a commemorative token to a decorated candle, miniature bottles and wedding bubbles but the most traditional and probably the simplest choice is that of sugared almonds or sugar coated chocolate dragees. The little wedding favour box or wedding favour organza bag that you supply these in will remain with your guests as a commemorative token of your day and the sweets will go down well with everyone!

Sugared almonds can be supplied in a variety of colours including ivory, white, silver and gold, although there are many other colours available, and if we don't have the colour you are looking for in stock we'll always be pleased to get them for you.

Similarly, sugar coated chocolates provide the same opportunity, and tend to be universally acceptable whereas the almonds are not necessarily enjoyed by everyone. Of course, a mixture of the two so as to please everyone is easy to arrange. You can use the confectionery to match the colour theme of your day, or since the favour box or bag will often do this job for you, you can surprise your guests with gold or silver coloured almonds or chocolates. These are really spectacular and absolutely delicious.....mmmmmm!
