You buy the Signed & Sealed plate ready decorated to identify the special occasion that is to take place. This could be a special wedding anniversary - ruby, golden, diamond etc., or it could be a big birthday, a Christening of Naming Day, or possibly a Hen Night or an Engagement. We also have them for retirement and to wish people good luck if they are leaving a job, going overseas or for whatever reason. You then write on the plate with a special pen designed so that the ink will write smoothly in a fine line to ensure maximum use. Once you have allowed the ink to dry for 24 hours you bake the Signed and Sealed plate in an oven at 150C for just one hour. The ink will then become permanent on the plate or mug, and can be washed as normal crockery, even in a dishwasher! The writing won't come off and the recipient has a special commemorative plate for all time and a fantastic memory of the people who helped to make the day special.

Our Signed & Sealed Wedding plates are very popular as a novel and practical alternative to a guest book, as the great advantage of the plate is that it can be placed on dispaly, whereas the traditional guest book, lovely though it is, will often become drawer bound in time and is then rarely seen.
