When you plan a celebration or a party, particularly when it's a special event like a Wedding, a big birthday, an important wedding anniversary, or a Christmas or New Year party you really want to know that you will be able to get all that you need to make it the perfect occasion from one place, and be sure that you will receive the service and the reliability that will give you peace of mind. That is what So Raise Your Glasses sets out to provide, and if there is something that you want, but cannot see on our website, then please contact us. Whilst we cannot promise always to get what you want, we will check our suppliers and we will get it for you if we can.

We try to make sure that we can provide everything that we show you on our website and get it to you for when you need it. If you do have a rush order, and we have the items you want in stock, we'll get them to you within 24 hours for a small extra fee, but usually we'll get your goods to you within a few days of your order and in plenty of time for your celebration.

We know from our own experience that planning a big celebration takes a lot of thought, and whilst planning is part of the fun, it can be stressful if the items that you want are difficult to find or can only be bought from a dozen different shops or websites. As a result we have tried to bring together a range of party decorations, party tableware, gifts for all sorts of occasions, cake decorations, candles, Table decorations, Wedding accessories, Albums and Guest Books, Social Stationery, Games, Christmas Gifts and decorations, Christmas lights and many more items besides. The idea was to provide a quality source of quality products that will provide you with a way to pull together everything you need for your party or celebration without having to go all over the place to find it.

We recognise the key celebrations that people plan for and we've provided a menu on the left of all our website pages that can take you to the items you are looking forthat are suitable for all these key celebrations. The principle celebrations are:

• the arrival of a new baby and Christenings or Naming ceremonies
• all the important birthdays like 18th and 21st (lots of people still like to celebrate both), together with 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th and even 100th
• Christmas - the celebration that involves all the family and all your friends
• Engagement
• Weddings - perhaps the biggest celebration of all and certainly the one that takes the most planning and preparation
• Civil Partnerships - now established as a very important celebration alongside Weddings
• Wedding Anniversaries - time to reflect and be thankful for years of happiness and to remember the wonderful day that was your wedding - we cater specifically for the larger anniversaries - Silver (25th), Pearl (30th), Ruby (40th), Golden (50th) and Diamond (60th)
• Halloween
• New Year
• Valentine's Day
• Mother's Day
• Easter
• Father's Day

If any of these celebrations and special events don't appear on our website at any time it's simply that it's not really the time of year for those events and so we concentrate on those that are coming up soon. Of course, Birthdays, Engagement, Weddings and Anniversaries appear all the time

We've arranged our website so that you can find things easily. If you have a special occasion that you want to prepare for, and you are looking for ideas and to see what products we have that suit those occasions start with the menu on the left, and the occasion that you have to plan for. Once you've selected your special occasion you will be taken to a list of all the items that are available at the moment that are specific to that event or that are suitable as they fit the bill for any occasion. When you select from that list you will be shown the items specific to that event first and then any more general items later. So, if you havean 80th birthday to prepare for take your cursor to Birthday and all the big birthdays will appear in a little frop down box. Just select 80th Birthday and click on it. You'll now see a list of all the products that we have that are either specific to an 80th birthday or are suitable for any special occasion. It's a long list because we have a lot of products and we don't want you to miss out on seeing them. But from this list you can select the product types you are interested in. For instance, if you are looking for balloons for an 80th birthday click on balloons. The first two products you'll see are a foil 80th birthday balloon and then a pack of latex balloons for 80th birthday. The next item is a pack of balloons that say simply "Happy Birthday" and after that are the more general items that you may be interested in but which could be suitable for any occasion - a balloon pump for instance and then all sorts of different coloured plain balloons.

The same process works for paper napkins. Try selecting a different occasion, for instance a 60th wedding anniversary. The first two items that show up are different sizes of paper napkins that are specific to a 60th wedding anniversary and these are then followed by all the plain and decorated napkins that we stock as well.

There are some categories of product that show up when you select this route which don't have anything specific to the special occasion that you have chosen. This is simply because we don't have anything specific in that category, but we show it as there are items within that might be of interest. For instance, if you select 40th anniversary and then select guest books there isn't anything that's specifically a 40th anniversary guest book as those that are shown could be used for other occasions as well, but we do try to make sure that the ruby coloured guest book shows up first!

Of course, you may be after a product or products for an occasion we don't have listed on our menu, or you may be looking for something specific for completely different reasons. The simplest way to find what you want in these circumstances is to use our search facility. if you type what you are looking for into the keywords search box at the top left corner of the page you will see those items that are closest to what you have typed in. For instance, type in table confetti and you'll get a mass of different types of metallic table confetti for sprinkling on your celebration tables. If you want to be more specific then type in red confetti and you'll get back only those table confetti packs that are red in colour.

We are just as happy for you to select one product for your special birthday, anniversary or other occasion as we are if you buy a long list from us. We take care with every order to ensure that we pack it carefully and get it out to you as quickly as we possibly can. If there's a short delay it may be because we're waiting for an item to come in, but if there's going to be more than a day or two's delay, we'll get back to you and let you know so that you can decide whether to continue with your order. We won't keep you waiting long and we won't let you down by holding your order when we know that we cannot fulfill it or we might run the risk of not getting it to you for when you need it.
