Lilac

Lilac is always a very popular colour for wedding decorations and is also the traditional colour used for Diamond Wedding Anniversaries. Lilac is light yet distinctive, and will blend well with a number of other colours so you retain flexibility when you choose it as your key colour. Lilac is complimented perfectly by purple, silver, ivory and white, or you can mix with other pastels like pink and pale green.

A great combination is to use a crisp white tablecloth with touches of lilac such as table crystals and place cards. A really cheap but lovely idea is to buy some little pots of lavender from your local garden centre and dotting them along the tables.

Our pearly lilac balloons look great with a dark purple and white with coordinating curling ribbon. Lilac organza can be used for pretty table runners over a cloth and can also be wrapped around vases and pots such as the lavender suggested above. The plain lilac rolls have 25 metres of organza and so you can add swags to pillars and use the rest to tie to guest chairs.
