Interesting statistics with a peak of weddings in 1975, something that we were quite surprised to see. So in 2015 how do couples celebrate their wedding anniversary? Many choose to go on a trip of a lifetime, maybe a cruise or a visit to somewhere a long flight away. Many others choose a weekend away in Europe, the UK or maybe New York. Most couples will mark the occasion with a celebration party with friends and family whether they have a special trip away themselves or not.

So Raise Your Glasses has always been popular choice for couples looking to organise a wedding anniversary party and over the years we have seen a shift from the informal buffet style party to more formal sit down dinners and the more casual but highly popular afternoon tea. However you choose to celebrate there are plenty of decorations to choose from and the most popular choices are colour coordinated napkins, tableware and table decorations with touches of decor specifying the anniversary itself. For example party decorations for Golden Wedding Anniversaries are not surprisingly usually in gold and it is very popular to choose a gold tablecloth or table runner, golden anniversary napkins, gold paper plates, gold table crystals, some gold bunting, a personalised golden anniversary banner and a mix of plain gold and 50th anniversary balloons. As you can see there are touches of specific golden anniversary decor mixed with plain gold which creates a sophisticated and attractive look without edging into 'garish' territory! In all cases (Silver, Pearl, Ruby and Golden) except Diamond Anniversary the name of the anniversary denotes the usual colour chosen for party decor. Diamond Anniversaires traditionally use lilac.

We hope that this short blog post helps in your choice of anniversary decor. If you need more help and advice we are always very happy to help and love to talk to our customers via email or telephone. To view our anniversary decor click here.
